The original equipment compressor on nitrogen-filled air suspension systems on certain Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs can fail when leaks cause the motor to run beyond its duty cycle, melting the plastic piston. This Dorman OE FIX air suspension compressor is housed in a rugged die-cast aluminum case and features a more durable aluminum piston, improved seals to prevent leaks, a new valve block, and a compressor motor rated for greater thermal capacity than the factory version to help avoid future failures.
