Exclusively from Scott Drake we now offer new manual steering boxes. These complement the popular Quick Ratio Boxes we have been selling for years. These manual steering boxes feature an original 20:1 ratio. This slower ratio is ideal for manual steering cars as it reduces the effort required to turn the steering wheel especially at low speeds and when stopped. The direct bolt-in design requires no modifications or core charge. Drake’s 1964-1967 steering boxes feature the exclusive solid shaft design just like the originals. Most of these boxes are worn out after 50+ years of service and are not rebuildable. Scott Drake’s new boxes feature improved needle bearing design for smoother operation. These boxes eliminate play in the steering wheel, hesitation, and wandering. It improves high-speed tracking and an overall sense of control. Note: Only fits early 1967 with 1″ sector shaft and long full-length steering shaft.
