The original equipment window regulator and motor assembly on certain Tesla vehicles can malfunction when the factory design’s cable tensioners allow excessive slack, leading to cable tangling, derailing, and eventually failure. This Dorman OE FIX replacement regulator and motor assembly features longer tensioners and deeper channels on the cable reel to help better prevent these issues in the future. Designed for a perfect, direct-replacement fit, the regulator track also features an integrated rivet that serves as a hard stop to keep the window slide block from falling off the track during installation – a thoughtful touch that’s lacking in the factory regulator, and particularly convenient when the regulator is being installed in the door prior to the window glass.
