When an original rear left lower or rear right lower control arm weakens and eventually fails on certain 2004-2007 Jeep Liberty models, it is often because rust has formed inside the arm itself. The rust buildup results from water that has infiltrated the arm via the factory design’s mounting through-bolts, which penetrate the control arm rather than relying on a separate mounting flange. This OE FIX control arm is designed to eliminate the causes of that internal rust buildup and provide a more permanent repair than the factory arm offers. Our arm is engineered to match the fit and function of the original arm for a seamless installation, but has been redesigned to mount with shorter mounting bolts that do not penetrate the arm itself. This improved design also eliminates the drain hole, fully sealing the arm and eliminating any ingress point for moisture and internal corrosion.
