A two-step locking pin and deeper receiving seat replace the factory sprocket’s straight pin design, providing more secure engagement and stability during phaser actuations that eliminates the rattling sound typical of a malfunctioning sprocket. This cam phaser also has an innovative oil wiper designed with concave sealing edges, an upgrade from the factory’s flat wiper profile. The unique surface geometry seals oil much more effectively, enabling faster actuations of the cam to advance and retard positions and extending wiper life by reducing surface wear.
